NBC To Extend Digitalization Switch




Acting Head of Public Affairs in the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Mrs. Maimuna Jimada, says government might be compelled to extend the deadline given to media organizations to switch to digital broadcasting.

Jimada explained that though the digitalization programme was still feasible, the prevailing economic situation in the country was making t5he transition difficult for broadcast stations.

She added that possible extention of the deadline would not affect the operations of the stations because the 2015 deadline set by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), was still far ahead.

Jimada says that contrary to speculations in some quarters, the digitalization programme would only be achieved in phases.

      thanks very much for your encouragement, i appreciate a lot. yes, i designed the blog myself,though it took me time,but it was worth it and its not been easy to maintain either because no adverts yet,but its okay and am enjoying it.Just need to create more awareness.Hope to here from you soon.
