Engr. Solomon Nyagba

The Abuja Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ABUCCIMA) says over 1,000 local and international businesses are expected to participate in the forthcoming 7th Abuja international trade fair.
Addressing newsmen Wednesday in Abuja, the President of ABUCCIMA, Engr Solomon Nyagba says the trade fair which will hold for the first time at the permanent site of the chamber on Airport Road, Lugbe Abuja would have sufficient space to accommodate the targeted participants unlike the 300 they targeted last year.
He said the fair which is scheduled to take place between September 27 to October 6, with the theme:“Transforming and Reforming SMEs as Growth Drivers for Economic Development,”is aimed at revitalizing and diversifying the Nigerian economy by promoting non-oil exports.
Furthermore, Engr Nyagba said the chamber hopes to surpass the record of the previous edition, especially with the confirmation from the Ghana Investment Promotion Commission that they are coming with over 65 companies and entrepreneurs.
He said last year, the chamber budgeted N20 million to organize the fair and made a profit of about N15 million. For this year, N30 million has been budgeted to put enough structures at the fair ground.
He added that the Indian High Commission and the embassies of Philippines, Indonesia, China, Senegal, Venezuela, among others, have also confirmed their participation at the fair.
