Akwa Ibom At 25, Etighi Dance Shakes Lagos

Akwa Ibom 25th Year Celebration

Golden Innovations and akwa-cross entertainers today held it's Akwa Ibom State silver jubilee special edition, known as "Sak Sio," at the Muson centre, Lagos.

The event which was held to mark 25 years of Akwa Ibom, brought together various Akwa Ibom sons and daughters together and none Akwa Ibomites.

 According to the organizers of the event, the event was aimed at creating an atmosphere where our families can come together and merry just like the yearly convention held in the US.

Furthermore, Bassey Edet Okon a.k.a Pasto Goody Goody,in a welcome speech, expressed his appreciation for the large turnout for the historical event. "I welcome you all to this historical concert and get-together of Akwa-ibom youths and elders under one roof.
We are here to celebrate the sweet culture of our state through music, comedy and dance."

"I feel that many talented Akwa-Ibom indigenes in Lagos, have no platform to exhibit their creativity to the outside world. This is why we are all celebrating this event in Lagos."

"Sak Sio is a yearly event that celebrates the culture of Akwa Ibom, and it is usually held in the USA and Akwa Ibom."

Meanwhile, the event which was star filled, had the likes of Cool Fm's presenter Mani, Yaw, Ali Baba, MC Shakara, Miss Akwa Ibom state, Gospel Sensational singer Ann Inyang, Kukere Crooner Iyanya, the Etighi dance champions, Sammie Okposo, Nollywood Producer Keppy Ekpeyoung, the Akwa Ibom Funny Act Imeh Bishop aka Okon Calabar and a host of other dignitaries, in attendance.
