Immigration Warns Officers Over Duty

Comptroller of the NIS, in the state, Dr. Brasca Ifeadi, gave the warning when he decorated newly-promoted officers in Kano on Tuesday.

He urged them to be vigilant at all times due to the security challenges facing the country.
The immigration chief said, “You are expected to be involved in proper monitoring and surveillance of those around you, especially in local governments. This is what you do ordinarily, particularly now that we have critical security problem.”

Usman Abdulkarim, one of those elevated to the rank of Deputy Superitendent of Immigration, said he and his colleagues would put in their best.

A breakdown of the 2011 promotion result and upgrading of officers from various ranks and cadres released on August 27 showed that two Deputy Comptrollers of Immigration were upgraded to Comptrollers,while three ACIs made it to the rank of DCI.
