The biggest winner at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards, Kanye West was apparently absent from the award show which took place on September 29, 2012 but was aired on October 8, 2012.
The G.O.O.D Music lead producer won seven awards out of 17 he was nominated for including ‘Producer of the Year’ and ‘Track of the Year’ shared with rap partner Jay Z.
Another big winner of the night was Def Jam rapper 2 Chainz who walked away with three awards including the ‘Rookie of the Year’, beating MMG rapper Meek Mill.
Big players Jay Z and Rick Ross didn’t go home empty as they won the ‘Hustler of the Year’ and ‘MVP of the Year’ respectively.
Veteran lyrist Nasir ‘Nas‘ Jones won his first ever BET Hip-Hop award for his single ‘Daughters‘ in the ‘Impact Track’ category.
