American rapper-YMCMB boss Lil Wayne is taking seizure medications following his mid-air medical emergency last month.
The 30-year-old New Orleans born rapper told MTV News that the drugs are part of a new health regime, which also includes drinking four bottles of water a day.
Saying ‘I don’t want y’all to think I’m on nothing, man,’ ‘I’m on seizure medicine, man, that’s all’, Wayne’s announcement follows reports last month that he suffered two seizures while travelling in a private jet. Despite two separate incidents within 48 hours, and corresponding hospital visits, the rapper’s publicists insisted that reports of seizures were ‘inaccurate’. Wayne, they said, was suffering from severe migraines brought on by dehydration according to unconfirmed reports.
Wayne’s also been given orders by his doctors to stay off airplanes for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile the rapper has announced a new release date for his much-delayed album ‘I Am Not a Human Being 2’ which was originally planned for later this year. The record is now due on February 19, 2013.
‘I’m going to tour right after the album drops and I’m going to tour all year round worldwide,’ Wayne said.
The rapper’s last album, 2011′s Tha Carter IV, has sold more than 4 million copies.
