Gov Uduaghan Controlling Traffic On A Busy Road

Call it a publicity stunt or an action borne out of a genuine desire to be of service to ordinary citizens of the state but you can’t entirely fault Delta state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan for attempting to control traffic on a very busy road.

The governor was spotted some days ago directing traffic on the ever busy Inter Bua round about, to the admiration of motorists and passers-by who soon gathered round to watch the scene in bemusement.

The governor was reportedly caught up in the traffic jam and had to disembark from his vehicle to control the traffic for more than 30minutes until normalcy was restored before leaving the scene.

But opposition in the state are not convinced. They think the governor was simply seeking cheap publicity. According to opposition, with the huge allocation that comes to Delta State every month, as an oil-producing state coupled with the internally generated revenue, if there were enough good roads in Asaba, would Governor Uduaghan have any reason to become a traffic warden?

A penny for your thoughts. What do you think? Cheap publicity or simply rendering selfless service?
