President Goodluck Jonathan sacked nine ministers in his first major cabinet reshuffle since winning an election more than two years ago, a presidency spokesman said on Wednesday.
The ministers affected are:
Foreign affairs - Olugbenga Ashiru,
Education -Ruqqayatu Rufai,
Science and Technology – Ita Ewa.
national planning – Shamsudeen Usman.
environment - Hadiza Mailafia,
Land and Urban Development – Amal Pepple
Others affectede are
Ministers of State for Defence – Olusola Obada,
Ministers of Power – Zainab Kuchi,
Ministers of State for Agriculture – Tijani Bukar.
“They will be replaced but not immediately,” a spokesman told reporters, without giving further details.
